Spokane Fun

There really are some great places in Spokane! It's the end of June and the river is still roaring. Amazing! The kids and I even got sprayed standing on the bridge above the falls.

Andrew has been taking a mixed media art class this week at Corbin Art Center, so we've had a chance to explore the park and hiking areas around Corbin. What a beautiful place. I love the picture of Abby picking buttercups in the grass because it reminded me of my grandma Dorothy. When I was a little girl, we would walk to the hills by our house and pick buttercups together. Abby and I also made a trip to the carousel. It was her first time riding on a horse by herself!

Hoopfest weekend starts tomorrow, which is like a holiday weekend around here. Stay tuned for some basketball pictures!

Angel Ball 2011

On Saturday we were able to attend the Angel Ball Gala, one of our favorite events of the year! What an incredible night that raises lots of money for area kids with diabetes.

Gardner Cave and Boundary Dam

Upon returning home from Vegas, we picked up the kids, threw some new clothes in our backpacks and headed up to Pend O'reille River. We took a day trip up to Gardner Cave and Boundary Dam, both incredible sights. To be able to walk 494 feet underground into a limestone cave was awesome. Then we were off to Boundary Dam where the water was rushing through with such power, it was breathtaking. We even got to stand on the top of the dam looking over. Wow! Andrew and Abigail were talking about it for days!

Sunshine in Las Vegas!!!

At the end of May, Matt and I went to Las Vegas with our good friends Jen and Brent Dukes to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversaries. Matt and I were excited to show them some of our favorite Vegas spots and we had some new experiences too. What a fun 4 days filled with SUNSHINE and temperatures in the 90s, lots of LAUGHS and funny stories and wonderful memories! Thank you mom and dad for watching the kids!

Toby Keith's Bar and delicious food. Matt and Jen even shared fried Twinkies!
