Swimming, running, playing...

I think we've seen the last of our warm summer weather and fall is officially here! Andrew spent most of the afternoons last week playing outside and enjoying the sun. His new favorite spot is on the fence as he calls out to our neighbor Emily. They are in the same preschool class and love to play together. What's this relationship going to be like in 10 years?

We survived another Deutchestfest weekend. Jeremy, my cousin Rhett and I drove down early Saturday morning and participated in the 5K fun run. Believe it or not, I came in 1st place for the women, Rhett came in 3rd place for the men and Jeremy came in 4th. We had a good time and it was a great way to start the day. Lots of good German food and fun!

Andrew had his final swim of the season. The water was a little cool for the rest of us, but he had a great time! I had to trap Abigail in the corner by the pool toys - she would have jumped right in if given the opportunity. Thank you grandma and grandpa for all of the pool time this summer.

It was fun seeing some of my friends that I played volleyball with at Eastern. There was a big September birthday bash at the Wideman's house.

And last but not least, our little princess was looking adorable with the tiara and wand at grandma and grandpa Liezen's house. Thank you grandma Joy for watching the kids while we were in Odessa.

September News

Andrew started school this past week. He's attending preschool at Prince of Peace again this year. He's going 3 days a week and loves it already!

Andrew's preschool took their first field trip to the Spokane Interstate Fair. Grandma, Abigail, Andrew and I had a wonderful time! His class is called The Honeybees, so it was appropriate that they had their picture taken in front of a beehive. Andrew enjoyed the honey sticks too!

Abigail is walking (well, taking several steps) when she wants to...mostly when she's not thinking about it. I tried to catch a couple of quick videos. The second one stops when she puts a feather in my cup.

She's just like her brother - loves to be outside, climbing on everything and playing in the dirt.
